pdf hyperlinks in powerpoint 2003

When ever I make a hyperlink in powerpoint 2003 and click on the hyper link the pdf that I hyperlinked to will flash on the screen on go away very quickly. This only happens to pdf hyperlinks. Is there a setting in powerpoin 03. Thank you for the help.

I had the same problem with powerpoint 2000 trying to put in a hyperlink to a pdf document. It is not a Powerpoint problem. The version of Acrobat Reader I was using was 7. The solution is to download version 7.0.1 of Acrobat Reader which resolves the problem. This problem and solution is addressed on the Acrobat Reader's help site. From the 'help' tab on Acrobat Reader, select 'online support' and when it opens you'll see the problem and solution outlined.
