Usually Peachtree makes you create a backup when you do your year end closing. You can search for a *.PTB file in c:\. Hopefully you will find it, then you can restore it. Eventhough the file your working from may not be whole, I suggest you make a backup of it before you replace it with this one. Just in case.
If you need more help let me know.
P.S. When closing years in Peachtree it throws you into a purge utility in the middle. You might have entered your purge as of date to 1/1/03 or something. Be veryful when doing this. You will loose data. That’s why backups are so important. You don’t have to purge every year, usually.
Thanks for the response. Before closing I had backed up my data. After closing and losing 2002 data, I restored it and tried to close again. However, since then, each time I try to close, the computer freezes after a while, without completing closing. What could be causing this?
