peer to peer printing w/W2k pro

Am having trouble connecting to a shared printer. when I try to connect, i get 'access denied'. I've added users to Power users, checked that computers are in the same workgroup, but still can't connect. I'm sure I'm overlooking something obvious (not to me). What am I missing??

Because you are in a workgroup, you will need to have the users authenticating to the PC sharing the printer using a local account. Try creating an account on the printing PC with the same name as the user account trying to connect. I can't remember if the password should be the same.

the easy easy solution for you is to really either have all users logon with the same username or . add each computer user to every computer with the same password. the users are authenicating on the remote computer. If a like account isn't there the authenication will fail.
if user xyz with a password of 12345 is on every computer with power users permissions , he will not have an issue anywhere on the network . as log as his account is on every computer.
This will fix more then just printer issues but also file sharing also!
