Permissions for client in domain

HI all,

I recently set up a WinXP Pro machine in a domain. All was running well. I then wanted to install Norton Antivirus and I received an error that I did not have the correct permissions. I did set up the account with Admin privileges but seem to remember that it is more complex than that.

So I am not quite sure how to make the XP machine have the permissions for the user to add/delete programs on his own machine while still being able to join the domain.
