persistent gateway

Can someone tell me how to set a persistent gateway in UNIX? Currently anytime I reboot I have to re-enter the gateway to our frame relay.

On many unix's you make an entry in /etc/defaultrouter or a similarly-named file. The best place to look is in the tcp startup script. There should be a check for a default route and you can find out where it looks and make the appropriate entry.Unix systems vary and without knowing which one you use it is hard to be more specific.

If you can't find the file mentioned by cavedweller, why don't you simply use a script that's invoked at boot time with the line you type in currently (it's something like 'route add ...' I guess)? Place it the rc2.d directory or similar.
