I know that the question about which is the best platform is academic at best, however i am curious to know what you guys think about PHP and J2EE (or Java EE as it is called these days) with regards to platform independence and standardization and the reasons behind your thoughts.
This issue has become more interesting in recent years because of rapid progress made by PHP in terms of robustness and scalability. I eagerly await your inputs, cheers
