Please Help

I have been having a terrible time trying to convert a file from corel wordperfect to microsoft word. I saved a file and had a password on it a few years back. I cannot open it on my recent wordperfect 7 program, I think because of the initial password and I am unable to convert the file to open in word. I have tried downloading an import converter but I cannot find the proper one for this conversion…. know of any sites for a free downloaded import converter for this situation??? Thanks
