Paper Feed Area

If the paper jams in the feed area ?Paper Jam 0? appears on the display.

Paper Exit Area

If the paper is jammed in the exit area, ?Paper Jam 2? appears on the display.
And this is what you have got.
So here are the instructions for clearing:

1
Press the Release Lever to open the side cover.

CAUTION: Ensure the side cover is always open before opening the front cover. Open the front cover.

2
Pull down on the Fuser Lever. This will release pressure on the paper.

3
Turn the Jam Remove Lever in the direction of the arrow to move the paper to the exit area.
Gently pull the paper out through the exit area.

4
Push the Fuser Lever up.

5
Turn the Jam Remove Lever back to the original position. Close the front cover and side cover.

Get some compressed air..

Get some compressed air and then give the copier a good old **** out, this will get rid of any little bits of paper that might be hiding in there.
Hope all goes well.

two possibilities

by shasca In reply to Please help me with this ...

I've seen this type of problem when our people print labels, and some come off and get wedged in there.

Next possible cause is that one of the sensors there just for detecting this type error has failed.

Both problems would probably warrant you contacting a technician as you would need to dig into the case.

well...

listen, i spoke to my coworker/partner in crime about calling a technician. (She wasn't at work yesterday) she told me this happened befeor with the same type of printer. its most likely the sensors.

And she is correct

But as you need to replace or adjust Micro Switches it's not a job for anyone but the Xerox Tech or one of their Official Service Agents.

There is enough current inside a Photocopier to kill and you shouldn't play with these if you do not know what it is you are doing.

At the very least buy yourself a Service Manual for this model and work from that if you must repair this unit.

This might work...

Unplug the printer for about 30 minutes. This should reset the sensors. Replug after 30 minutes and then do a test. Hopefully it should work.
