please help...can't share files

my LAN consists of 1 win2000server & 1 win2000pro.

I am trying to share folders between the 2 and cannot, I have them
both in the same WORKGROUP and they have the same subnet, I have
rebooted them.

From the 2000pro I can see the servers computer name under network but
when I click on it I get " 'servername' is not available" The network path is not found"

Check to see the SERVER service and the WORKSTATION service are started on both systems.
This'll enable proper inter-sharing between the two.

can you ping each other? what do you see when you type 'ipconfig' <enter> in a DOS window?

create user accounts on each pc that the other is using. ensure to use the same password.... have fun )

Go to each machine and enable print & file sharing then go to the volume and give rights to the network if the UNC path deos not have rights it will not be able to access it
