I'm wondering what kind of programs are available for inner office e-mails. We would like to be able to send e-mails to each other with out being connected to the internet.

You know, the "Internet" mail system is nothing more than a bunch of server, usually running some form of Unix or Linux with a free application called sendmail on it. Most if not all client communicate with the server through the snmp or Pop3 protocols.

So, all you need internally is one server running Linux with sendmail loaded on it. Then configure your clients to talk to it. You can find sendmail at sendmail.org (if it doesn't already come with your Linux OS) and clients can be found almost anywhere on the net. Just Google "mail client software" and you will find what you need.
