POP3 connector not passing messages to Exchange

By Jeff White mcse ·
I have SBS 2000 set up, and am using a pop3 connector to retrieve e-mail from an ISP. In the app log, I can see where it makes the connects to the isp's pop3 server and grabs the e-mail and get a confirmation like:

Event 4024
There are 3 message(s) with a total of 46253 byte(s)

Event 4029
A message was downloaded from the POP3 server. The message ID is: MSG08042005-154529-83.MMD

Trouble is, these never seem to make it to E2k to be displayed in Outlook or OWA.

The POP3 should be a separate virtual server.

Details here:

...there is nothing here that resolves my issue. The connector seems to work, I get confirmation that it has retrieved messages. The messages are not being passed to Exchange for display.

a search of the HDD shows that the *.mmd files are being stored in the following directory:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft BackOffice\Connectivity\POP3 Connector\InForward"
