POP3 Versus "The Router"

By ianb1981 ·
I have recently installed a new computer network for a company and am currently trying to configure the e-mail. I am running a Windows 2003 SBS with 6 clients and when I try and connect to an external POP3 using Windows 2003's POP3 Connector Manager I am recieving 3 errors in the Event Log.

"An error occurred during POP3 transaction to server <[]>. (E-mail provider is Farming Online by the way) The error is 10060 [A connection attempt faild because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because host has failed to respond."

Plus 2 error messages stating that the downloading process for the mailbox was ended with one or more errors.

I know there is nothing wrong with the ISP end because i can still access via an old dial up connection. I believe that the router is the bain of my existence at the present moment but i cannot figure out how.

Can someone Please help out
