Portable Browser Interface???

By williamkelley ·
Is there a (way) browser interface by which I could log on to or have on floppy my Iexplorer browser interface, custome settings links, Favorites, and appearance no matter what computer or location I am at?
Save the use of Remote Desktop client.
Thanks William

Portable Browser Interface???

by TheChas In reply to Portable Browser Interfac ...

There are several programs out there for syncronizing your IE favorites on several PCs.

Just check your favorite download site.
Try www.completelyfreesoftware.com
and www.nonags.com

The problem with a floppy is the size and number of files.A standard floppy is limited to 511 files. So, if you have more favorites, the only way to put them on a floppy is to zip them.

As to the IE settings, they are stored in the registry, and are not easily portable.

Depending on your version of Windows, you may be able to use user profiles on each PC so that you can have your settings, and the other users can have their settings.
