Hi All, I wanted to post this question to get a larger perspective.
In the team I work on, we have had reports of the laptop power draining much quicker when using the VM. I understand that this would sound normal to use more power being its a virtual machine. However, I’m wondering if someone has seen issues where the fans remain at a high speed even if at the lock screen, and the power seems to drain unusually fast?
Does anyone know of any tools that I can use to test the hardware within the VM to essentially find where the VM might be putting more “workload on the hardware” than the host machine?
Probably sounds like a crazy question but any thoughts are appreciated.
