      Hi,

Did you try and save the file and open up in PowerPoint. Instead of run from location.

Do you have a PowerPoint Viewer installed. If so, uninstall that 1st in Control Panel Add/Remove Programs.
If that doesn’t work, open Windows Explorere and click on “Tools\Folder Options\File Types” and scroll down to ppt and highlight that extension. What does it say for Opens With? If not Powerpoint 2000 then either delete it and retry or click on the change and try to find Microsof Powerpoint in your options.

The file is saved as a .pps file which is a slide show, in order to open it one slide at a time, you have to right click and choice “Save Target As”, then save the file to your desktop or any other location that you can remember. Then Open the file in PowerPoint. From here you can save it as a ppt file which will not auto run.
