Powerpoint

I have two separate existing Powerpoint presentations. I’m trying to copy & paste one slide into the other ppt presentation. I want to keep the original formatting however. When I copy & paste now, the slide takes the formatting of the slideshow that I’m pasting it into. How can I keep the original formatting???
