PowerPoint links to external files

By carlos.nino ·
I have this problem with links to external files in PowerPoint. You see, if I build the PowerPoint presentation with MPG files found on my C drive, it always goes to look for the files in the C drive. How can I play the presentation from the D drive in another computer without having this problem?
How can I edit the links to the files in a way that it does not matter the drive the files are in? I mean that I can put all the files in the CD and the presentation will not be affected if the CD drive is D or E.

Thanks a lot in advance!!

Since you can't embed video files in a PowerPoint presentation what you need to do is place your presentation and all your video files in the same folder. Create that folder on the root of your c: drive, add all your files to that folder, then insert your clips in the presentation. Burn that folder to the root of the CD and you should be fine.
