PowerPoint Presentation

By ljackson.desoto ·
I would currently like to use PowerPoint to create a slide presentation of pictutrs, but I need to know if the "save as a slide show" option will allow the slide show to be viewed on a regular dvd player instead of a computer. If not, any suggestions as to a good video creation piece of software. I have the one by Roxio, but it doesn't have a lot of transitions like PowerPoint. Thanks.

Not easily. See:

You can download 'Hypercam' from Hyperionics.com, then record your entire screen or desktop as you do your presentation. It will save as an .avi with sound! Then burn it with Nero.

The slide show will need to be saved as an mpeg file. A lot of the programs out there will do this. Be sure that the DVD Recorder that you use is compattable with the +/- format of the player you will be using. Most players for home tv use require the DVD to be recorded in the DVD+ format.
