previously outlook not closed properly

I am using outlook 2003. pst size is around 600 mb. After we got the mesage "outlook was not closed properly" outlook will start in safe mode first" so we allowed to start it in safe mode. after that we closed outlook and started in normal manner. it worked. But this is coming daily. We ahve updated office patches, outlook patches, we have run scanpst to correct database integrity.But still this problem comes frequently.
Please help. This problem is faced by Director of company and I am in trouble.

I seem to remember I had a similar problem a while back. I'm sure giving the user local admin rights then rebooting the PC fixed the problem.

First off you shouldn't be in trouble but I digress. Are you by chance losing addresses you've added to your contacts by this? What add-ons are installed (e.g. SpamBayes perhaps?). Are you using Sharepoint? When you close Outlook, open the Task Manager and see if the process has actually ended/closed. If it is still running, the following link will show you various software that can cause problems when Outlook can't close properly.

For a quick possible 'fix' (bandaid solution is probably a more suitable term) for your director while you investigate the problem further, take a look at this add-on: It might do the trick.
