Trying to send 100 or so word docs at a
time of varying sizes to a local printer and
can’t do it. I’ve upgraded the hp8000
memory to 64 meg and the docs all range
in size from 10k to 100k. I’ve increased
buffer in printer to max and am using
economode resolution. The pc is running
2000 prof with pentium III 800, 256 meg
ram.
Word opens multiple times till it locks
machine. Ive tried all
different spooling ,collating and priority
options. Even worse when same PC had
98se.
How can I tell word to stay open and just
open and close each doc to print
in order – Do I have to write VB code ?
Can anybody help ? Right now I have to
print one at a time and click OK each time
Also, if I send only 10 docs or so now
its ok cause I have enough resources
for the 10 or so docs BUT they don’t print
in order – they seem to print in random
order. Ist attempt maybe doc 1, then doc5
then doc 8, etc, next time doc 2, then doc
5 etc. Need them to print in the
highlighted order that I send them to the
spooler.
