Print one Excell record

By dennisbv ·
I have a Workbook for a school that has student info, there are two sheets the main one has the student info and the second is a lunch form that they need to print only selected students and selected info using the second sheet.
So I need to be able to print a lunch form with one students info in the correct cells so one sheet for one student. I also need to be able to print selected records like rec number 26-35 or 1-27. I would like to be able to print one record or a range of records using the Lunch form as the template. They only have Excell to work with so I need to use Excell

i heard you: you only have Excel. but don't you have Word? this would be cake if you created the form in word and used mail merge with the excel database...

check out this function:
--cut from xl2k help--
MATCH

Returns the relative position of an item in an array that matches a specified value in a specified order. Use MATCH instead of one of the LOOKUP functions when you need the position of an item in a range instead of the item itself.

The print dialog box will give you the options to print selective pages or portions of the page (highlight portion and select to print current selection, workbook or active sheets.)

To print certain records only, you will need to create a lookup through the DATA heading (database query) and simply print all the returned records.

I THINK this is what your'e trying to do, but post back if I've missed the objective.

You could also use the VLOOKUP function to only return certain records, for example by looking up the student name or student ID, and then printing the results.
