Print option missing in MS Word

I have a computer that has lost the printer icon and the print options under the file menu. I have tried editing the registry file, starting with winword.exe /a but nothing works. She can print from AOL and notepad. I haven’t had time to check if it is missing from all windows components. Anyone have any suggestions? This happened right after her last automatic update from MS.
