Print two copies of each page in a word document

    by artkennedy1 ·

I’m not wanting to print multiple copies of a Word doc per sheet. I do want to print Page 1 twice (on 2 separate sheets) then do the same for page 2 and so on …
    Any takers?

Last time I wanted to do that, I went to my print settings and chose that I wanted 2 copies of the document, if I understand you correctly. I am not referring to printing on both sides of the page, which many printers have the capability of.

      How to make this clear?

      I want to print 1 1 2 2 3 3 …

      NOT 1 2 3 1 2 3

See what happens if you say you don’t want to print the current page or the whole document, but a selection like 1,1,2,2,3,3,….
It might be it works as you want. And it might be that it doesn’t.

What certainly works is to first print 2 copies of page 1, then 2 copies of page 2, and so on.

What also works is making a temporary document by copying each page immediately after itself, and then print that. You could even write a macro to that.

Writing a macro costs time and the first 2 methods are somewhat clumsy if your document is 100 pages, indeed. But I’m afraid that what you want isn’t supported, neither by MS Word, nor by compatible programs like LibreOffice. Merging the 2 printed copies of the original file is a manual option, of course.

You’ll have to do what works, like it or not.

I would ask to print 2 copies, non collated.
      Each page is printed twice – 1,1, 2,2, 3,3 ……
