Printer "delete" in Printer Tasks of XP

By mannc ·
I have middle school kids deleteing my printers. Is there a registry entry, or other method, that I can use to either lock or remove the "delete" option? The option for delete appears in the "printer tasks" area after selecting a listed printer. START-PRINTERS AND FAXES-click on a printer for menu options-DELETE. The setup is 24 laptops accessing network via wireless system. The printer is also on a wireless print server(HP wp110).

Run Group policy editor from the run command
gpedit.msc
go under
User Configuration
Administrative Templates
control panel
printers
prevent deletion of printers & enable it

Prevents users from deleting local and network printers.

If a user tries to delete a printer, such as by using the Delete option in Printers in Control Panel, a message appears explaining that a setting prevents the action.

This setting does not prevent users from running other programs to delete a printer.
