Printer not responding, why?
I recently tried to install a new printer on a computer and something went wrong. I did the installation via the CD and did everything correct according to the on-screen instructions. However, on the screen that sayd "plug-in and turn-on printer" I got stuck. The program did not advance to the next screen because it could not find the printer. So I restarted the computer to try again and when I tried to print a document I found two printers: Canon Pixma and canon Pixma (copy 1). When I choose Canon Pixma, a screen pops-up: "Printer offline", when the printer clearly is turned-on and connected to the computer via a USB port. When I choose Canon Pixma (copy 1), a screen pops-up: "printer not responding". The computer seems to have trouble detecting the printer. What can I do to make this work?
