Printers go missing on 2000 server

I have a 2000 server that from time to time, all of the printers will disappear from the server. If you go to the printer folder it will be empty. Users are unable to print to the printers. Rebooting the server will bring the printers back (sometimes it requires two reboots) and everything appears to be fine. This is the same symptoms that appear in MKBA # 271248, but the resoultion is not correct. The three listed dll’s are the only ones in the directory.
