Printing from office laptop on my home network

By jeffmcfadden ·
I have a home network with 5 PC's networked to a brand new Mac. Printer is on the Mac, and all 5 PC's print to it fine (took some doing, but it works). But I also want to use my Windows XP laptop from the office while I'm at home, and use the same printer. The laptop is set up for our domain at the office, and I use a vpn to connect to the office from home. Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks!

Jeff

i would try this..

Instead of logging on the domain via vpn i would try to login locally to the laptop as administrator user.
Of course you must know the password for this(if there's one).
If i achieve this i would create a new local user for ex user1 or myname granting administrative rights to it.
Then i would logoff and re-logon as this user(user1) and voila i can access my computer localy so i can make some network changes...but be careful! if you change your network settings so they can fit to your home network you may have problems reconnecting to your office environment..so write down the info first before you make any change.
