Printing in DOS and Windows

A client of mine has a new Epson c80 inkjet and an old Hp Laser. It prints fine in the old dos mechanic program with the laserjet but when printing with the epson the font is much to large and the page becomes two or three pages. The company that makes the dos program is out of business. How do I correct this problem?
