Printing in Word 97

By dabsinpa ·
At work, I do a lot of mail merges for clients. The documents received from the client can be from 20 - 46 pages for 6000+ of their customers/employees. I send print jobs to our Canon iR110 in increments of 1000 or 2000 records depending on the size of the original document.
Is there a way (I am using Word 97 in Windows 2000) to put a separator page after each record so when the entire job goes to our bindery, they can separate the sets/records easily and quickly?

Put in a blank page at the end of the main document.

Insert page break at the end of the last page of your main document to make the blank page.

One way would be to insert the following sort of field at the start of the Main Document:

{ If {MERGEFIELD RecordNumber } = 2000 { AUTOTEXT SomeText }}

Define the AutoText as a page break followed by some seperation text, followed by another page break.
