Printing PowerPoint Handouts handouts

Is there any way to print PowerPoint presentations in Handout form without using the full PowerPoint Software? We want our students to be able to print but, we do not want the full program on our systems. Do any of the other products have a PowerPoint Viewer or a utility that can print handouts?
