Printing problem

By greg.crutcher ·
Using Turbo 6.1 & HP 692 color printer. I keep getting a message "lpr: unable to print standard input" when I try to print an html file from Netscape. I look in the queue and there are no print jobs in there. I tried selecting different printers just to see what was up but I get the same message. When I try to print a text file from another app, nothing happens at all. Can someone help me on this? I was hoping I could get a quick fix. I have been doing all this from X windows.

Thanks

So, it's a wide question.
First, you need to specify your distribution of Linux and its version.
Next, describe your current settings for printer in detail.

How EXACTLY you configured the printer?
(options, device file names, etc)
