Printing Slides with Animation

By rawle ·
I am using Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003, Professional Edition.
I have a presentation which someone else created and has animated slides, containing about 60 action steps. The consensus of my superiors is that they like the animation effect, but the problem is when we try to print the presentation, it looks chaotic.
I went online to seek help (to the support.microsoft.office website) and downloaded the add in "capture show" which was supposed to deal with this problem. Unfortunately it didn't work: when I generated the capture show, there were major formatting problems (e.g. titles half disappeared, the document generally looked like it was printed from print preview and not as it would normally print).
My interim solution was to de-animate the slides and create printable versions, but now I have 2 separate presentations and this is risky from a content control perspective (making changes in 2 places).
I would therefore like input on how people manage the process of printing animated slides.
