Printing to 2 printers simultaneously

By doakley ·
I have a WindowsNT network with several network laser printers in various locations within the building. When printing certain documents from Word I need to direct the output to 2 different printers at the same time. For example, when printing a packing slip I need it to print in the office and in the warehouse at the same time. I'd like to be able to do this without printing the document twice. Does anyone know if this can be done and how? Thanks.

At the same time? I don't know if that's possible, but here's a work-around that does the job...

What you need to do is record a Macro from within the current document. While you have the document open, select from the menu, Tools | Macro | Record Macro. Give the Macro a name, hit OK. Now print to the first printer, then to the 2nd printer. Stop the macro recording. Put the macro on the toolbar so you can just click on it next time. It might not be printing to the printers at the same time, but one after the other. And it'll save you from clicking a few extra mouse-buttons.
