When you print a page in Internet Explorer 6, the default header and footer contain such information as the URL, date, and page numbers. You can suppress this information when printing by adding or deleting the header and footer codes in the Page Setup dialog box.

Keep in mind that these codes are case sensitive. This is most important with codes for date and time formats, as well as with codes for page number specifications. Capitalizing the wrong letter may give you a different header/footer than you wanted.

&w Window title
&u Page address (URL)
&d Date in short format specified by Regional Settings in Control Panel
&amp Date in long format specified by Regional Settings in Control Panel
&t Time in the format specified by Regional Settings in Control Panel
&T Time in 24-hour format
&p Current page number
&P Total number of pages
&& A single ampersand (&amp
&b The text immediately following these characters as centered
&b&b The text immediately following the first "&b" as centered, and the text following the second "&b" as right-justified

To set those codes, open IE.
From the File menu, select Page Setup...

The Page Setup dialog box appears.

In the Headers and Footers section, in the Header and Footer text boxes, type the code that you want to appear on your printed page.

Click OK.

Proceed with printing.
