Problem Installing IIS5 on Win2kPro

By jcombs ·
When I try to install IIS5 via Start-Settings-Control Pannel-Add Remove Programs-Windows Components, Checking IIS 5 and clicking next, I get the following error message:

"Insert the Compact Disc labled Service Pack Files in to the CD Rom Drive(h:)"

I put in the Win2KPro Upgrade disc that I have and it goes back to the same error and is unable to find the missing files. Any help????

Run Setup again and select Repair previous installation. Once done, follow the same precedure to add Windows components.

Does your Pro install already have a Servie Pack installed (1 or 2)? What is happening is W2k is looking to install the updated version of the DLLs for the product you are installing (IIS). Extract the service pack to a temp folder and point the installation prompt to the tenp location when asked for the service pack files.
