Problem Regarding Drivers

By imranmcse ·
I am using Windows 2000. I want to reinstall my windows2000, but i have not drivers for sound, vga and modem in uninstall form. So thats why i m afraid of reinstalling windows 2000. is there any solution that i can use same drivers which have already installed on my existing windows2000. I mean that i want to re-capture all installed drivers.

Problem Regarding Drivers

I have not tried this myself.
Go to http://www.jermar.com/wdrvbck.htm

Download WinDriversBackup.

It is supposed to back up your current driver set.

I recommend identifying all of your hardware, and downloading the latest drivers.

You can use Belarc Advisor www.belarc.com
or Sandra Lite www.sisoftware.com
to create a device list.

Then, you can use www.driverguide.com to find the web sites for the drivers.

Why cant you find the driver file details under system properties/hardware/device manager/..., back them up in separate folders on some other partition (where you will not install windows). Install Windows with the default drivers and update driversby choosing the location and pointing to these?
