Problem Sending email to users with lotus notes

By cfine ·
We use outlook and exchange 2003. When our users send an email with an attachment to our home office in Japan, somtimes it arrives with out the original attachment. Instead it has a "$RFC822.eml" attachment wich just contains the original body of the email. Our home office in Japan utilizes domino and lotus notes. I am trying to determine if the problem is on my end or theirs. I have examined my exchange setup and can find nothing unusual. Anyone have any ideas?

Your problem might be in Japan.

Japanese have their own government network police which deals with the issue that you are posting.

Please post back if you have any more problems or questions.

Look at the firewalls

by jdclyde In reply to Problem Sending email to ...

Most likely it is their firewall.

What type of attachments are you sending? any real firewall will kill exe/bat/src and other files like that. ZIP files are also killed if that admin is even half awake.

Also, how big are the files?
