Problem When Right Click Drive

By james_effendy ·
Everytime I right click a drive in Windows Explorer an installation window from Easy CD & DVD Creator 6 is opened. This is also the same when I left click the drive and select File and Edit menu from the Explorer. If I choose to Cancel the installation, the error message "Error 1706. No valid source could be found for product Easy CD & DVD Creator 6. The Windows Installer cannot continue" is appeared. If I click OK the normal menu will appear.

I have Roxio Easy CD & DVD Creator 6 installed on my machine.

Can someone help me to remove this annoying problem?

You may have to uninstall and reinstall if you want to use this software. Download the Roxio zapper and run it after you uninstall along with the cleaner.

It will say it's for V4-5 but it should still work with V6

Then download and run the MS Cleanup utility to remove all traces of Roxio from the registry

Check the file associations

Open Explorer.
Open Tools | Folder Options
Click on the Fiule Types tab
Go to (NONE) Folder
Select advanced. The available option should be explore and open. If you see Roxio listed here then that is where your problem is.

If you cannot change it here you should be able to correct it in the registry.

Don't recall the specific keys.
