Problem with NT 4.0, IIS4 of Frontpage??

By DS9 ·
I'm trying to create a form for my Web Site to collect info from visitors, and to receive it via e-mail. When ever I test the form, it gives me an error message in the applications log as follows:
Microsoft Fronpage Server Extensions:
Error# 20018Message:
INI File "" section "Port 80" not found.

When I check the frontpg.ini file in the WINNT directory, under [Frontpage 3.0] it shows [Ports /LM/W3SVC/1:]

Where would I add the Port 80 requirement.??

Any ideas

George

Check the personal web server settings. You should be able to configure the port in there. Port 80 is the default port in the PWS.

Hope this helps.

I am not sure about the port 80 deal, but when we tried to have a form emailed to us, we had to add the following statement to the ini file to make it work.

SMTPHOST=xxx.xxx.com
where xxx.xxx.com is the address of our internal mail server

INI file already has:
SMTPHost=srv-720b.sentryusa.com
so that must not be the problem.
Thanks anyway...

I've had a similar problem. I havent fixed it yet but I broke my forms when I upgraded the frontpage server extensions to 2000.

Whe I try to connect to the web site in frontpage 2000 I get the same message.
