Problem with uninstall Mozilla Firefox

By jwxja ·
I want to uninstall Mozilla Firefox from my Win XP system. When I click on "Remove" in the Mozilla Firefox entry in Control Panel nothing happens. When I click on C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\uninstall\helper.exe nothing happens. It looks like something has hijacked my uninstall wizard. Can any one help?

Revo Uninstaller

Download the RevoUninstaller. It is free. It also works much better than the worthless windows add/remove programs button. Use the moderate settings and follow the prompts. Delete all of the registry entries and all of the files. Then reboot.

Whooa! If I go to CNET to download Revo Uninstaller the quick download will install the Sweetpacks downloader, hijack my home page and recreate the nightmare that caused the problem in the first place. Of course I could do the custom install but I am wary now. Does the Sweetpacks stuff come from CNET or is it connedted with Revo Uninstaller somehow?
