Problem with Word Hyperlink

I have created a word document using Microsoft Word 2000. I have used hyperlinks with targets in the same document. When I click on the hyperlink, instead pointing to the appropriate description (target), it takes me to the FIRST LINE of the DOCUMENT.

Appreciate if someone can help me with this problem.
