problems with Access 2000

I am working on an Access 2000 database that when deployed to a network. Novelle in specific it brings backa glich. When two or more users are logged on it gives us an error “You do notn have exclusive access to the database at this time. If you proceed to make changes, you may not be able to save them later”. What is some possible work arounds that are not listed on the Micorsoft website?
