I am having trouble with a system using a VIA chipset including a 686b southbridge and a Creative Sound Blaster Live card. I installed the software, but i cannot play game fromthe cd rom. i have sound from the speakers, but the multimedia tab when i click on properties the section that says “cd Music” I try and click on the tab where it say that i can use digital sound for the cd rom to play music and gmaes , but it is greyed out and I cannot click on it. I have sound coming from my speakers, but when i put in a cd to play games I get no sound. I have the soundblaster live . it does not have the four prongs for the analog cd ,only the spdif for the digital. what can I do to resolve this problem?. Also on my creative labs cd, the creative audio HQ and the creative surround mixer will constantly give me errors. the mixer give me this error: ” CtDevcon.dll has returned an error. mixer will now exit” the audio HQ give me the error:”no audio device that is compatible with this application can be found. Reinstall the card and run the application again’ I am really tired of this . I want to hear sound fromthe cds’ can anyone help me!?
