Problems with SBS 2003 and storage group

by beccha . Updated 17 years ago

After creating a Recovery Storage Group in Exchange (I run sbs 2003 standard), I?m now having a lot an issue when I create new users: the path to the mailbox is set to the recovery storage group instead of the first storage group as it should be. If I go to ?Active Directory Users and Computers?, remove the mailbox and recreate it with the correct first storage group path, Outlook can then find the users? mailbox but something still goes wrong as Outlook freezes and the roaming profile does not work at all anymore. All accounts that were previously created work fine.
How can I rectify the system so that the correct path is properly set from the beginning? Is there anything else that can cause the system to have these kind of problems?
I have tried to delete the recovery storage group but the system would not let me do it even though I have the proper privilege.
