Problems with scandisk

By jeremy ·
When I run scandisk on my computer it says that it cannot complete the scan because of bad file allocation tables. Is there anything I can do to fix this short of formating and or reinstalling windows? The disk has been scanned for viruses and is clean. Any suggestions?

Try this freeware. It was orininally intended to fix a drive after a virus attack but can be used for what you need. It only works on FAT32 formatted drives though and you don't mention your OS.
