Just entering the training phase of the IT Industry. My question is this. I see a lot of people choosing the Networking route (MCSE, A+, etc.), In your unbiased opinion, What are the pros and cons of choosing the Networking field of study vs. the Programming side? Seeing all the questions and paper ads about Networking scares me to believe that at some point, Network Admin jobs are going to slow down. I have chosen the programming side, due to my belief that I will excell further in this line. What is the potential for both areas? What would be a good start-up job for a soon to be entry-level programmer? Thanks for any replies.
