Hi all! Although I said I wanted a specific answer, I’m very open to discussion as well. I’m using Win XP Pro w/sp2 and all updates. I have my personal machine tweaked to run great. However, I have googled exhaustively to see if anyone might have a registry fix/edit or idea on how to completely close programs in XP. For example, when you open iTunes and you go to Task Manager, you get Itunes.exe, IpodService.exe, AppleMobileDeviceHelper.exe, and distnoted.exe. So, when you close iTunes, you close iTunes.exe and AppleMobileService.exe, but not distnoted.exe and iPodservice.exe. My question is, does anyone know or have any idea how, when you close a program,to make Windows close not only the open program, but any associated programs which have opened with the program. I have made one registry change and added the AlwaysUnloadDLL key, and this works great, but it doesn’t close down a program and all associated programs with it. Any ideas, thoughts, tips, or tweaks are much appreciated. Thanks in advance!
