project quality plan

By amosh ·
I am looking for an english written "project quality plan" template. Projects are hardware\software equipments. An English written example for such a quality plan will be also good.
Thanks

Are you looking to develop:
- a project plan;
- a testing and quality assurance plan; or
- a example of a plan that covers hardware and software?

The quality plan comprises the metrics sheet and the configuration management, Since you are particular about the quality, I will concentrate on the metrics . Contrary to popular opinion the quality plan is a simple XL sheet where the total size (in FP) of the project is entered and the defects are calculated for every phase. The calculation is based on the baseline values that you have captured in your earlier projects. Usually done for thousand FP's or if most of your projecta are very large base it on million FP! If this is your first project which you wish to measure use the industry accepted figures (e.g six sigma aims at 1 defect for a million function points or lines of code!) You can target something more realistic maybe at 1, 2, 3 sigma. Have 4 columns in your XL sheet phase of the project, lower limit, goal, upper limit. Define the limits during the start of the project. Measure the defects during the course of the project and enter them in a seperate sheet. Evaluate your performance. As you execute projects create a database of these metrics. They'll help you define the lower limit, upper limit and goals for your next project.
