    Project Web Access

    Locked

    by bluntdude ·

    Hey there

    Hope you guys can help?
ok, after our projects manager has set up the project plans and sent it out to every one, if i then view my project list, and want to update is, for example editing it, so it shows that i have now completed my first task to 40%, and my 2nd task to 20%!
is there a way that i can do it myself, or do i have to tell him, so that he has to go to projects pro 2003 and do the changes, and submit it again, so it only then updates on my pwa?

    thanx

      Tracking projects

When you save your project as the base line, it automatically switch into the tracking mode – there is a special Gantt view for it. When you publish such a project plan, the blocks from manager’s Gantt chart are may be distributed to the people as EPM tasks (there is also email option, but I do not suggest the option as it happens that some emails are “lost”). If you choose the “EPM tasks” option, the doers will see tasks dedicated to them and they may update the progress % – it will be visible than in master plan. It is important to know, that if you do the same in your weekly report – the information will not be transferred to the Project Plan. You must do it via tasks.
      I hope it helps.
