Well according to the HP Manual

You need to press the FN and F4 keys together to toggle the display between the internal and external Video.

Of course you need the Projector connected and turned on and set up first before you attempt to do this.

You can read the full Instructions here on HP's Web Site.

Like HAL said,

My experience with Compaq laptops says it's best to connect the projector while the laptop is off, power up the projector, power up the laptop, and then Fn-F4 after the laptop has booted. Fn-F4 is a three-way switch: laptop LCD alone, external monitor / projector alone, or both.

And the VGA card is what exactly?

by HAL 9000 Moderator In reply to Still Compaq c733tu is no ...

I only posted what the User Manual said to do for what was originally fitted to the NB. If you have fitted other devices you need to list them. or much more Importantly Read the Manual that came with them on how they are to be used.

1.its may because of high resolution in ur laptop. Try reducing ur laptop's resoultion to 1280*768 n connect projector. need an HDMI or DVI connection instead. Before you go down this route, make sure that your computer is able to handle it, as an up to date video card is at least essential for this type of connection.
